Kerala Spice Tour - Walk with Nature and Culture

Day 1

Arrive Cochin. 2 hrs drive to a farm house resort at Kaliyar. Relax, enjoy and immerse yourself in the freshness of the surroundings.

Day 2

Explore the sprawling premises of the farm house and enjoy traditional Kerala cuisine. Trekking and Rafting also possible.

Day 3

4 hour drive to Munnar, a tea plantation hill station. Trek around 3 hrs from Munnar to reach forest lodge overlooking water falls at Silent valley.

Day 4

Trek to the second highest (2635 m) mountain peak of South India, Meesapulimala. This 6 to 7 hr trek passes through the valley of Rhododendrons, montane grasslands and shola forests. Delicious packed lunch served enroute. Back to the forest lodge by evening.

Day 5

After breakfast, embark on a four hour trek down to Yellapatty village. Transfer to the camp. Spend night at Top Station lodge.

Day 6

After breakfast, a 5 to 6 hr trek to the coffee plantation and village at Central Station. Trek duration is 5 to 6 hrs. Walk back to lodge at Top Station.

Day 7

Four hour drive to Thekkady and check into the forest lodge at Gavi. Enjoy the premises of the Gavi forest lodge situated in Periyar Tiger Reserve.

Day 8

Trekking in the rain forests of Periyar Tiger Reserve with good chances of sighting wild animals. Back to Lodge for staying overnight.

Day 9

Proceed to Trikkunnapuzha coir village by 4 hrs drive, and experience life in the villages of Kerala. Overnight stay at the backwater resort.

Day 9

Board the Houseboat and cruise through backwaters. Spend night in Houseboat.

Day 10

Board the Houseboat and cruise through backwaters. Spend night in Houseboat.

Day11

Proceed to Cochin and check into a hotel. Boating and Kathakali recital at Cochin.

Day12

Visit the old and new parts of Cochin and take the rest of the day off for shopping.

Day 13

Departure to the connecting flight.
