The journey
Kerala at the speed of a bicycle: the spice-scented lanes of Fort Kochi, the long climb to Munnar past waterfalls, tea country to Suryanelli and Vandanmedu, the forests of Periyar, and a gentle roll down to Alleppey — where a houseboat carries you the last miles.

Welcome, an evening ride through Fort Kochi, and a Kathakali performance.

Through the bird sanctuary and up past the waterfalls (30–40 km).

Plantations and villages to Chinnakanal's falls (25 km).

Suryanelli → Vandanmedu
Into the cardamom capital at 4,000 ft (40 km).
