A winter ridge walk with the giants of Garhwal — Trishul and Nanda Ghunti — in view nearly every step, past the frozen lakes of Bekaltal and Brahmatal.

Kathgodam → Lohajung
A 10-hour drive through Kumaon to the hamlet of Lohajung (7,600 ft).

Lohajung → Bekaltal
Through rhododendron forests to the lake of Bekaltal.

Bekaltal → Tilandi
Climb onto the ridge for first wide views of Trishul at Tilandi camp.

Tilandi → Brahmatal Top → Brahmatal Lake
Summit the 12,250 ft top for sunrise and descend to the frozen lake.

Brahmatal → Lohajung
Long descent back to Lohajung via Daldum.

Lohajung → Kathgodam
Drive back, reaching Kathgodam by evening.
